What is the Bollinger Bands?
Bollinger Bands draw a middle line, a 20-period moving average, with an upper and a lower band two standard deviations away from it. The bands widen when volatility rises and narrow when it falls.
How it is usually read
Price near the upper band is high relative to the recent range, and price near the lower band is low relative to it. Narrow bands show a quiet market, which is often followed by a larger move in either direction.
